Twenty Something Teachers: Gary was an only child but avoided all the negative things that come with being an only child, well that’s Gary’s opinion. He grew up on a small farm south of England. Was saved at an early age and was a member of County Line MBC where he served as youth and music director for many years. Karla was the oldest of 4 children, graduated Lonoke High School and has a teaching degree from UALR. Karla was also saved at an early age and was a member of Calvary MBC in Sherwood where she served as church pianist, starting as a child. Karla and Gary met at the church in Sherwood and after a whirlwind romance (4 months) were married in January 1975. They have lived in Furlow for all but a few months of their married life. They have two grown married daughters, one near Maumelle and the other in Cabot, and have 5 grandchildren. They are very involved with their family , like water sports and warm weather. They have only been members at Faith for a few months but both love to teach and are very excited about being a part of the YC ministry. |
